Four Seasons Fun - Green Christmas Sunday 5th December, Astbury Mere Country Park, Congleton Join us to make environmentally friendly decorations and cards using natural and recycled materials and make your Christmas a Green Christmas. Starting Out with Orchards Sunday 5th December, 10:00am to 4:00pm, Norton Priory Walled Garden

Topics covered will include; varieties of fruit, rootstocks and their influence on tree size, fruit tree planting, watering, pruning, organic pest and disease control, and harvesting and storing fruit.
The day will consist of a classroom session followed by a practical look at the aspects of orchard and fruit tree management in the Walled Garden orchard.

Parkgate Raptor Watch Sunday 19th December, 2:30pm, meet at Old Baths car park, Parkgate Come along to watch birds of prey with the experts and see the graceful hen harriers coming in to roost on the RSPB Reserve. Other birds of prey we hope to see are merlin, peregrine, sparrowhawk, short-eared owl and barn owl. Further details from RSPB on 0151 336 7681
