Vision:
Mission Statement:
"The biodiversity of our area and heritage of fauna and flora and their habitats, including sites of marine and geological significance, must be monitored, protected and conserved, both now and for the future.
In our many nature reserves and in town and countryside, the Cheshire Wildlife Trust will provide a focus for action for all those interested in promoting nature locally within a national framework".
Cheshire Wildlife Trust in a national context:
Nationally, The Wildlife Trusts (TWT) form the largest organisation working exclusively in the UK (plus the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands) on all aspects of nature conservation.
TWT care for more than 2500 nature reserves nationally. From woodland to wetland, urban pocket to rocky wilderness, they contain the richest variety of species in our land and sea, many extremely rare.
Speaking out with the voice of over 444000 members, TWT campaign tirelessly for better protection for the UK's wildlife, locally and nationally.
We invest in the future by helping all ages to gain a better perspective and understanding of nature. Our work with schools and our junior club, Wildlife WATCH, is enjoyed by thousands of children.

Taking action for wildlife locally:
The 9600 members of Cheshire Wildlife Trust help to carry out this vital work at a local level, including projects such as dormouse and harvest mouse reintroduction, otter recovery, black poplar restoration and nature reserve management in Cheshire, Halton, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford, Warrington and Wirral.
A major part of our work is the management of our 47 nature reserves, including our latest and largest acquisition, the Gowy Meadows nature reserve. These protect and conserve examples of woodland, heathland, wetland, sand dunes and peat bogs. We also play a much wider role throughout the region by:
