GO WILD!

Cheshire Wildlife Trust, Cheshire County Council and the Cheshire region Biodiversity Partnership teamed up with the Salt Museum in Northwich to hold a local wildlife exhibition at the Museum from Friday 7th March to Sunday 8th June 2003.

The exhibition encouraged local school children and other visitors to explore the diversity of wildlife found in Cheshire and to learn more about the organisations who work to protect it.

There were lots of exciting, interactive exhibits that focused on wildlife found in particular local habitats, such as, the limebeds, woodland and in our own back yards. There were also opportunities to find out how to get involved in protecting our natural heritage through practical conservation work and fundraising.

The start of the exhibition coincided with National Science Week. Entry to temporary exhibitions at the Salt Museum is free.

Following the exhibition it is hoped that the graphic panels and interactive exhibits can be used in a variety of other settings, such as the Cheshire Show, as part of our on-going work to promote wildlife conservation in Cheshire.
